Join the CCRSRI for a FREE screening of ‘Monuments with Blackboards’, a documentary film by Longleaf Productions, exploring the history of Rosenwald Schools in Virginia and prominently featuring our beloved Historic Cape Charles Elementary and its alumni. This film reveals the profound impact that the Rosenwald School program had on generations of Black Virginians and highlights the efforts to ensure that the gains of the Washington-Rosenwald legacy live on through the movement to preserve the buildings that remain.
