Greg Fentress has loved music for as long as he can remember. His first gig was in his bedroom with a record player and a Radio Shack Microphone hanging over his curtain rod which he used to talk up the intros of records. Greg got bitten by the radio bug in the early 80’s when a friend invited him to come hang out at the radio station he was working at. What started as just a visit and multiple Saturdays “spinning records” in the station’s production room, Greg landed his first radio gig in 1982 doing an overnight shift at WQZQ, a Country Radio Station in Chesapeake, VA.

Over the years, Greg has worked for various radio stations and multiple formats including country, adult contemporary, and Christian. He also hosted a National Radio Program for the CBN Radio Network in Va. Beach called Heartsong Magazine. Greg moved from his hometown of Chesapeake, VA. in 1993 and became the Morning Host for Joy in the Morning on WOLC 102.5 in Princess Anne, Maryland. He was also the Program Director and afternoon host at Q105 in Salisbury.  Greg met GSB Media LLC Owner Greg Bojko and soon became the host of The Big Breakfast Morning Show on CTG and then he hosted The Morning Brew on WOW 101.1 & 99.3 before making the switch to the Cape and Cape Mornings.  .

Greg is also an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God and is the Pastor of Living Waters Church of God in Pocomoke, MD. He is a worship leader and has spent a lot of time leading worship and speaking at churches, youth groups, schools, men’s outreaches and many other events. He and his wife Cindy run The Fisher’s Hook Ministry, a non-profit ministry which his father started back in the 80’s. Greg has written three books, A Message in a Minute 60 Day Devotional, Catch the Jesus Wave and his latest book which is entitled Our Journey Home (The Path To Healing).

Greg and his wife Cindy have 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He loves spending time with his family, going out on his Yamaha Wave Runner, everything about the beach and surfing and Smith Mountain Lake. He also enjoys playing the guitar, writing, and Greg still enjoys riding his skateboard. Join him weekday mornings for Cape Mornings on 96.9.
